They’ll also be giving away gift certificates from Ensembles, Freeway, Solo, Moonshine, Burgoo, PicturePerfect Booth, Queen Street bags, MADE Bespoke Denims, and a lot more! Moreover, I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be joining the bazaar for the first time!!!

Do you want to attend this prestigious event? Follow me (@tiniglesias) and SuperSale Bazaar (@supersalebazaar) on Twitter. Only people who follow our accounts are eligible for the free entrance. Afterwards, leave a comment below with your name and Twitter ID. It’s that simple!!! :)

You have until Sunday, May 20, 2012, 11:59pm to send in your entries. I will reply the following day if you got in!

I’m an incoming senior student and as early as now, my batchmates and I are already preparing for our graduation fashion show this October. We need to raise funds for the big event so I decided to share my booth with them and asked them if they’re willing to make a contribution by including and selling their designs (by the way, we made the jacket below!), other D-I-Y’s, and old chic clothes and accessories, among others. Naturally, they said yes! We see this as a great opportunity to help subsidize our continuing efforts to deliver an awe-inspiring show!

The blogger with the most number of ‘likes’ will get two booths for free and the blogger booths will be arranged according to the number of likes.  If you have time, please like our poster on Facebook! It would only take 10 seconds or less! Thank you so much!!! :)

Thanks to the Bloggers United team and the SuperSale team for inviting me to set up my own booth for me to sell my designs! I HOPE TO SEE YOU GUYS THERE!

Rue

Are you looking for a sexy and modest clothing at the same time? ALL THE RAGE Clothing has got you covered! Step out in this season’s hottest hemline: MULLET SKIRT. A mullet skirt is a perfect transition piece from spring to summer that can be dressed up or down.

Philippine Fashion Week, Superb by SuperSale Bazaar and Bloggers United are drawing near! Look fashionable and wear our skirt to the most stylish and anticipated events of the year! Celebrities and fashionistas have already been spotted rocking this style, so go on and give it a try! It’s time to showcase those lovely legs! They’re not as short in the back so they definitely won’t show your knickers.

I’ve blogged about the black semi-stretch with leatherette polka dots and blue poly cotton with printed swirls skirt, now here’s the other design — the black cotton with off-white ethnic grunge print and red crepe polyester! Buy now before stocks run out! :)

All The Rage Clothing (I Need Your Support!)

Hey, girls! I am currently taking a major class (in-campus practicum) this summer. It’s a course wherein we get to practice actual production of garments from the design phase to its construction and distribution to the consumer or client. The class was divided into three groups, each group representing one garment company. The goal of each group is to get orders for, produce, and sell a specific clothing product. The “Managing Group” needs to manage their company and achieve the company’s goals within one week. As for the other members of the class, they’re the ones who are creating the designs of the Managing Group. Since I am actually part of the last group, the first two groups are now our “employees” (starting yesterday until next week).

The name of our group is All The Rage and here’s our product!! We’re currently producing mullet/asymmetrical skirts with two color combinations:
1. Black semi-stretch with leatherette polka dots and blue poly cotton with printed swirls (see photos below)
2. Black cotton with off-white ethnic grunge print and red crepe polyester

They are GARTERIZED, available in FREE SIZE, and retails for PHP 700 ONLY! Here’s our order form: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/F5JZ539. Stocks are limited so hurry and shop now!

I would really appreciate it if you could help my groupmates and I spread the word! Please like ALL THE RAGE Clothing on Facebook, share it to your friends, and tell them to BUY! Thanks! <3

Get Cozy

It’s been raining here in Manila for the past few days, but I’m not complaining about that. I actually like the cold weather and I have an affinity for cozy clothing that accompanies such chilly temps! I finally got around to taking some snaps of my self-made jacket.

Military Issue

Last Monday was one of the most tiring days I’ve had in a long time. I had to do some pull-outs in the morning, went to a shoot for an international make-up brand and attended a meeting in the afternoon, did some pull-outs again, and pre-styled the clothes and accessories in the evening. I’m not complaining though (well, my body does hahaha). I’m very humbled and grateful for all the opportunities! :)

The assigned look from Monday’s shoot was Military Chic. The pegs that the brand sent me included Temperley, Ralph Lauren, Alexander McQueen, Derek Lam, Collette Dinnigan and Balmain’s runway outfits, with gold buttons, epaulettes, and four front flap pockets, among others. Of course, I unleashed my inner Lara Croft and opted to emulate Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection. There’s just something about olive green, leather, boots, and military styling that gets me. I can’t disclose all the details about the shoot quite yet, but I can say that I’m really looking forward to seeing the outcome!

Lee olive green jacket, M)Phosis ripped top, and self-made leggings (it has leatherette panels, but they’re not clearly seen in the photos; I’ll show better photos next time!)

I had my eyelash extensions applied a month ago (lash extensions will last up to 4-8 weeks depending on how well you take care of them and also depending on your own lashes natural growth cycle) and recently, I noticed that some of the synthetic lashes were falling out. In order to keep them looking great, I visited Nail It! Salon and had them apply some new extensions to maintain the fullness of my set. I’m satisfied once again!

Thanks to Nail It! Salon for applying the Orly Green with Envy polish so well!

Sew Chic

Not too long ago, I was the princess of impulse shopping. However, more recently, my clothing budget has taken a hit. I discovered that my addiction to unnecessary, one-time-use-only and unreasonably-priced purchases were among the things I had to control. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but lately, I’ve been wearing some of my school and out-of-school sewing projects (including this black dress!). I’m grateful for my professors in school because they taught me the basics, and eventually found myself inspired to try more elaborate ones.

Learning how to make your own clothes will not only save you some money, it is a skill that can evolve into a hobby that you love. Always remember that being stylish doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. The most expensive clothes in the world will not look good if they’re not matching or if you’re not wearing them properly. ;) You just need some practice, patience, a good understanding of construction and fit, and some pattern making and sewing know-how. Before you know it, you’ll be on your way to making your own clothing that you’ll be proud to wear!

Thanks to my blockmate Rj Santos for this beautiful illustration! He used this photo for reference. He has a knack for creating compositions that are simple yet strikingly effective!
