I’m an incoming senior student and as early as now, my batchmates and I are already preparing for our graduation fashion show this October. We need to raise funds for the big event so I decided to share my booth with them and asked them if they’re willing to make a contribution by including and selling their designs (by the way, we made the jacket below!), other D-I-Y’s, and old chic clothes and accessories, among others. Naturally, they said yes! We see this as a great opportunity to help subsidize our continuing efforts to deliver an awe-inspiring show!
The blogger with the most number of ‘likes’ will get two booths for free and the blogger booths will be arranged according to the number of likes. If you have time, please like our poster on Facebook! It would only take 10 seconds or less! Thank you so much!!! :)

Thanks to the Bloggers United team and the SuperSale team for inviting me to set up my own booth for me to sell my designs! I HOPE TO SEE YOU GUYS THERE!

Hey, girls! I am currently taking a major class (in-campus practicum) this summer. It’s a course wherein we get to practice actual production of garments from the design phase to its construction and distribution to the consumer or client. The class was divided into three groups, each group representing one garment company. The goal of each group is to get orders for, produce, and sell a specific clothing product. The “Managing Group” needs to manage their company and achieve the company’s goals within one week. As for the other members of the class, they’re the ones who are creating the designs of the Managing Group. Since I am actually part of the last group, the first two groups are now our “employees” (starting yesterday until next week).

The name of our group is All The Rage and here’s our product!! We’re currently producing mullet/asymmetrical skirts with two color combinations:
1. Black semi-stretch with leatherette polka dots and blue poly cotton with printed swirls (see photos below)
2. Black cotton with off-white ethnic grunge print and red crepe polyester
They are GARTERIZED, available in FREE SIZE, and retails for PHP 700 ONLY! Here’s our order form: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/F5JZ539. Stocks are limited so hurry and shop now!
I would really appreciate it if you could help my groupmates and I spread the word! Please like ALL THE RAGE Clothing on Facebook, share it to your friends, and tell them to BUY! Thanks! <3

My Pattern, Drafting and Grading professor required us to make an educational, functional and/or innovative garment for a kid, between the ages of 1 and 12. I chose my adorable 2-year-old nephew and made a jacket for him that converts into a vest with zip-off sleeves and it features a detachable and reversible hood! What do you think? :) I think he could also very well pass off as a model for toddler clothing. Hahaha. I’m a proud tita!

My groupmates and I made this unisex jacket for our Management in the Garment Industry subject. We weren’t graded based on our design, pattern or the quality of stitches, but rather based on production planning system, operations breakdown, and the like. We had a tough time completing each activity because of our complicated design, but like what my professor said, we gain new knowledge from difficult challenges. I always tell myself that the only surefire way to fail at something is to never even try. Nonetheless, we’re content with the outcome! It fits us perfectly.
Isn’t it nice to see how people incorporate wearable pride into their outfits? The hope for the Postura Project is to become a portal for Filipino branded fashion and locally inspired looks. Started by four fashionalism advocates Arriane Serafico, Knox Balbastro, Sarah Meier, and David Guison, it has a very simple mission — to get fellow Filipinos to start wearing something Filipino everyday. That said, I am more motivated to showcase my designs and more keen on supporting local brands and designers!
This is the third and last set of photos from my shoot with Hannah Reyes. Check out the other sets: Quintessence and Damsel in DisDress

A few weeks ago, I asked Hannah Reyes if we could do a mini photo shoot. I’ve always admired the way she approaches her work. Despite her incredibly busy schedule, she made time for me and took my outfit photos. So sweet! I’ve known her since high school (she and my brother are close friends), and I must say that her photography skills have improved a lot. She has photographed the Azkals, the Volcanoes, and the UP Pep Squad. She’s even had photos published in Time and The New York Times, among others, as a photojournalist. She is indeed one of the most talented, most dedicated, and most hardworking photographers I know. Not to mention, she graduated Cum Laude from UP Diliman! I’m very proud of her and what she has achieved!
The theme of our shoot was fashion student. Hannah doesn’t like overly stiff shots, and according to her, “actions and movements are awesome!” Hahaha! So she told me to bring props and anything else that’s interesting for the detail shots.
Grateful is the best word to describe my sentiments toward Hannah. Thank you!
