Sewing Project: Corset

I tweeted the other day that I’ve been having terrible pain from my neck to lower back because for the past few weeks, I’ve been making patterns and sewing all day. Sometimes the things that give you joy can also hurt you in the end. I know it sounds ‘emo’, but this is relatively true in the case of making clothes. Nevertheless, nothing feels more satisfying than seeing my ideas and designs come to life! I find great pleasure in being able to create items.

I made a corset with boning as part of my school requirements. Due to the lightweight nature of the fabric, it was challenging to sew. But I had fun doing the flat fell seams and inserting the bones and the bra underwires!
