My trip to Malaysia last December 16-19, 2011 was one of the most unforgettable trips I have ever had. The itinerary was relatively jam-packed but it was made with pure fun in mind. We made good use of the time! I just wanted to share some of the wonderful sights I’ve seen, so here’s my little photo diary. :)

The most important meal in anyone’s day is breakfast. I really enjoyed Marriott Putrajaya’s breakfast buffet! I’ve said this in my previous post, but I’ll say it again because I still can’t get over: Too bad I overslept on our third day and missed the breakfast buffet. Haha!

Tracy and I were given a king guest room. I loved the luxury bedding so much! If there was one thing I could bring home, it would be their bed or their pillow with a natural 300-thread count! I had a good night’s sleep every day, during my stay there.

We had an excellent view of the pool area!

They brought us to Tugu Negara, Lake Gardens, Dataran Merdeka, National Negara, National Mosque and Cocoa Boutique.

I got to see two of the tallest buildings in the world - The Petronas Twin Towers! They appear almost surreal against the skyline! I’m definitely going back to head upwards and see the amazing view of KL.

Suria KLCC was the first mall we visited. It is Malaysia’s premiere crescent-shaped shopping center located at the base of the Twin Towers.

I spent my first Malaysian Ringgit on a Chicken Rice meal!

Pavilion is one of the latest and largest shopping malls in the heart of KL. It’s where they gave us our tourist reward cards and food vouchers for dinner.

We were greeted with holiday decorations and the United Buddy Bears exhibition, a series of painted, life-size bear sculptures from Berlin, Germany.

The View Rooftop Bar at G Tower Hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city!

Unlike the Philippines, Malaysia is a right-hand drive country.

Sungei Wang Plaza is popular among both tourists and the locals. It’s a huge five-story building, which houses around 500 shops. In the Philippines, it is similar to 168 and Greenhills. Naturally, we were able to score great finds!

This caught my attention while walking around Sungei Wang Plaza. Milo McFlurry was love at first taste and I was completely hooked!

M&M’s Minis’ mascots were giving free chocolate candies outside Sungei Wang Plaza!

Fahrenheit 88 took inspiration from Malaysia’s fashion fusion culture. The mall has 5 levels, where people will find it interesting to shop and buy apparel and accessories from both well-known brands and independent brands. It is located in the Bukit Bintang shopping district, and walking distance from Pavilion.

Sephora is the ultimate wonderland of beauty junkies and make-up artists alike. There are many products to play with; you could spend days sampling and still not try everything.

Starhill Gallery is one of the grandest shopping malls in KL. It features more than a hundred renowned luxury brands. If you’re not a fan of designer brands, it’s still worth visiting because of its stylish interiors.

Before heading back to our hotel, we went back to Pavilion to check out Cotton On, Pull & Bear, and Padini Concept Store, among others.

Since Tracy’s flight was earlier than the rest of the group and our call time was at 2am, I had to amuse myself by watching TV shows. I was scared of being left behind. Hahaha!
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed my image-heavy travel post. Check out these links for Malaysia-related blog entries: Embellished, NAPBAS 2011 in Malaysia, Ditsy Leaves, and Bukit Bintang Shopping.
