Embellished

I almost forgot I had this beautiful dress from H&M’s Holiday collection a few years ago, until I fixed my closet. My dad gave it to me as a gift. I knew I had to wear it to the prestigious NAPBAS 2011 (Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards) in Malaysia last December 16. Trixie (Nuffnang Philippines’ Talents Manager) invited me a couple of months ago but she told me to keep it a secret first. I remember I was literally jumping for joy when I heard about the news! My recent trip to Kuala Lumpur was definitely one for the books. Thanks so much to my Nuffnang family for the trip and for the remarkable experience! :)

My goals for the night: show some skin, sparkle, and be sexy. Haha! I think I was able to achieve those with my backless dress.

Dark colors are all-the-rage for formal attire because they portray a sophisticated and classy image.

Since the dress is heavily embellished, I kept the rest of my outfit a bit understated and let the dress do the talking. For my accessories, I only wore a pair of small-sized earrings courtesy of Love Diva.

I also got this clutch bag from H&M’s Holiday collection.

Initially, I wanted to wear my black pumps but I realized they were way too simple. I wanted to make a bold statement and break my all-black ensemble, so I wore these taupe pumps courtesy of Primadonna.
