I’m As Free As My Hair

I got the album title from Lady Gaga’s song called Hair. Obviously, this post is going to be about my crowning glory. Haha!

As I’ve mentioned in my Bloggers United 2 post, Multiply gave each blogger a shopping voucher. I’m pretty much low maintenance when it comes to my hair (see my outfit photos for evidence), so I decided to shop for hair and beauty products to revamp my look, most especially my rather tedious hairdo. I’m no hair expert but I just want to share my shopping finds. :)

I first tried the Korean sponge curler. I recommend you use this hair tool if you don’t want to damage your hair with heat! If you wish, apply a mousse or a styling product to give extra hold to your curls.

(I came from a shoot for a new magazine under Summit Media yesterday so I had make-up on. Thanks to Ana of Hot Ticket for the beautiful make-up!)

Initially, I was quite skeptical that these spin pins would work because they’re just a couple of twisty wires. Haha! But I was surprised that they can actually secure my hair in place! I use them every time I want a chic messy-on-purpose bun.

I personally think that this donut bun is one of the greatest inventions ever. It makes a really nice, neat bun that looks like you have thick hair! I use this a lot in school to keep my long hair out of the way while still looking stylish.

This magic sponge hair twist bun is similar to the donut bun. Unlike the previous hair tool, you can bend it freely. Even so, both can create a cute bun!

Check out Little Emily for more hair tools, styling and beauty products. I also got myself a heated eyelash curler! I love the way it works; it doesn’t pinch my eyelids!
