The day I left for Korea, I made sure to squeeze in a quick event cause I knew it was something I didn’t want to miss out on. I’ve always loved attending LEE‘s events because they’re fun, creative and well thought out. In celebration of LEE’s 125 Years of Craftmanship and in line with its “Stay Curious” campaign, the iconic American jeans brand hosted a Denim DIY Craftsmanship Workshop at URBN and tapped some fashion industry leaders and stylish celebrities for a collaboration. With denim as their canvas, they were given the chance to discover the hundreds of possibilities to personalize each pair that represent their personalities and sense of style. Their creations were featured at the LEE Denim Exhibit during the brand’s Philippine Fashion Week show yesterday at the MOA Atrium.
At the workshop, everyone got to be a “Jeans Creator” as well. There were four stations (Dry Process, Wet Process, Finishing and Embellishment) where guests can experience customizing their own pair of jeans, including scraping, adding whiskers, distressing, adding trims, rivets, labels, patches and other embellishments. I seriously love denim for so many reasons, but versatility has got to be number one. It’s not restricted to a specific style and it’s definitely the ultimate closet chameleon, morphing into whatever I feel like that day.
True to LEE’s “Stay Curious” campaign, the legendary brand continues to ignite the passions of individuals, inspiring them to look beyond the ordinary, take a step into the unexplored and live out their dreams through fashion.
