Balmain Pre-Fall 2012
Balmain will always be one of my favorite luxury brands. I personally adore the brand’s new designer Olivier Rousteing for his sense of enthusiasm, boldness, for his innovative taste as well as for staying true to the brand’s aesthetic. I can’t believe he is only 26 years old!
Props also to his predecessor, Christophe Decarnin, and to the founder of the Parisian fashion house,...

Haute Combo
Wore this chiffon, leatherette and lace number to a day full of errands. As you’ve probably noticed, I’m always drawn to dark colors. I bet you’re wondering how I manage to wear dark clothing in a tropical country. Well, here’s a tip — with darker stuff, sheer fabrics reign!
I made this top! :) It consists of two fabrics (a printed chiffon and a solid black...

Nail It!
Everyone is very busy. I’m busy, you’re busy. It’s a whole society. I have a lot of things on my plate, but here’s the thing — I actually like the feeling of being busy! I am a full-time student, I do my plates and assignments, I am a freelance fashion designer, stylist, writer and illustrator, I go out with my family and friends, I do my chores as a daughter and as a...

Of Fashion, Instagram and UPCAT
It’s been a while since I posted an illustration. I took this via Instagram (@tiniglesias). My Fashion Merchandising professor required us to create a fashion sketch of our mock product line. Speaking of school, this year’s UPCAT (University of the Philippines College Admission Test) results are already out!
As I’ve mentioned on Twitter, congratulations to those who passed the...

Teal
Here’s what I got for myself during my shopping trip at Kashieca last December: a teal knit cardigan! Thank you so much to my Bench Family for this! :)
Knit cardigans make a great investment and can be found in a variety of price ranges. They’re very comfortable, cozy and ideal for lounging. I originally wanted to purchase the navy blue cardigan (it’s the closest to black!...

Kashieca
Who here thinks that shopping is inevitable during the holiday season? Well, I do! Some time during the Christmas break, I visited Kashieca’s Eastwood Mall branch. I just recently found out that Kashieca was first established in 1988 by sisters Karen, Shiela, and Camille Santos, hence the name. Cool, right?
The front of the shop is primarily made of glass and they really use this to...

Sweet Yet Tough
Sorry for the lack of posts, I’ve been very busy with school projects, work, pullouts and so much more! I also got awfully sick last week, but I’m feeling much better now. :)
I love the laid-back feel of Sundays so I decided to keep the look simple with a bit of attitude by wearing a sleeveless top with lace detail and uneven hem, a skirt with stitched zipper and a great pair of...

Etcetera on ETC: Featured Virtual Vixen
Etcetera is a 15-minute weekly video capsule on ETC. It aims to be a style compass for young and fabulous Filipinas. Bias aside, ETC is one of my favorite TV channels because it features my favorite drama series, entertainment news, and reality shows like Project Runway, America’s Next Top Model, and Gossip Girl, to name a few. That’s why when they invited me to appear on their show, I...

When in Doubt, Wear Red
I let my cousin shoot some photos of my New Year’s Eve look to share them here with you. From head to toe, I was rocking the red and black combo - they balance each other quite nicely. Red makes me feel good, almost instantly powerful. It embodies importance, good luck and passion — perfect for the year ahead!
I love experimenting with textures and prints for a fun look.

I don’t have a Harley-Davidson motorcycle to jump on the biker trend, but I do have a top with the logo of the well-known motor company printed on it. Haha!
Here’s an example of an outfit that’s casual enough for a day of shopping but still nice enough to wear to grab dinner with friends. :)

Silver Christmas
Here is what I ended up wearing for Christmas Eve. Despite the colors’ gloomy connotations, black and silver always seem festive to me and I felt happy and comfortable with this look. :) I hope you had something special to wear and had a wonderful time with your family and friends, too! xx
I will probably abuse this blazer which I got from my recent trip to Malaysia. It’s RM 25 or...

Aldo
Last week, I was able to find some time to visit Aldo’s Greenbelt 5 branch to check out their latest collection. Compared to all the independent shoe stores, I’ve always believed that Aldo is one of the best in terms of quality.

Malaysia Truly Asia
My trip to Malaysia last December 16-19, 2011 was one of the most unforgettable trips I have ever had. The itinerary was relatively jam-packed but it was made with pure fun in mind. We made good use of the time! I just wanted to share some of the wonderful sights I’ve seen, so here’s my little photo diary. :)
The most important meal in anyone’s day is breakfast. I really enjoyed...

Bukit Bintang Shopping
This is what I wore on our third day (a.k.a. shopping day) in Kuala Lumpur. We went to Pavilion, Sungei Wang Plaza, Starhill Gallery and Fahrenheit 88. I personally think that the Bukit Bintang area is the best place to stay in because the malls are within walking distance from each other. You’ll find most of what you need, suiting every budget, from high-end stores to specialty outlets!

Flashing Lights
We only had an hour or less to recharge from the day tour, then off we went to Pavilion for dinner. After having dinner at Food Republic, we spent our second night at Kuala Lumpur’s latest hot spot, The View Rooftop Bar at G Tower.
I wasn’t really in the mood for drinking and dancing because I was not feeling well. I was feeling quite dizzy and disoriented because I hadn’t...

Ditsy Leaves
On our second day in Kuala Lumpur, Nuffnang took us on a tour to discover the best of the best Malaysia has to offer. Bloggers were advised to dress comfortably for walking. I knew we’d be moving around a lot so I wore a lightweight turquoise romper that features a V-neckline and an open back with strappy details.
Tracy and I woke up a tad bit early to take nice outdoor shots. After the...

NAPBAS 2011 in Malaysia
Back in 2007, Nuffnang recognized the need to help bloggers meet other bloggers, to find talented bloggers, promote them to the world, and create opportunities for them. Four years on, the blog advertising network changed the blogosphere in a really good way. Bloggers today are budding as a vital force in trends, in changing public opinions with the power of their readers or followers, as...

Embellished
I almost forgot I had this beautiful dress from H&M’s Holiday collection a few years ago, until I fixed my closet. My dad gave it to me as a gift. I knew I had to wear it to the prestigious NAPBAS 2011 (Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards) in Malaysia last December 16. Trixie (Nuffnang Philippines’ Talents Manager) invited me a couple of months ago but she told me to keep it a secret...

I'm As Free As My Hair
I got the album title from Lady Gaga’s song called Hair. Obviously, this post is going to be about my crowning glory. Haha!

It was quite challenging for my blockmates and I because we were given a very limited time to create 3 dresses...

No Heels for Now
High heels are forgiving of every figure, no matter what one’s size or shape is. They always make me feel good about myself! I have no problem walking on high heels; actually, I fall more often when I’m wearing flats. Hahaha! But recently, my legs easily become sore and my feet hurt from wearing sky-high shoes. So I realized that it’s important to take little breaks from time to time ...

Pleats are not some new fashion phenomena; they have been a recurring theme in fashion since the later 19th century. In fact, I’ve been wearing this trend for a loooooong time already! But now that I’m older, I gravitate toward the other types of pleats like accordion, plissé, and cartridge....
